This important service in the life of the village is usually attended by descendants of the martyrs who still live in the area.

Guest speakers in the past have included government ministers, leaders of the national Methodist Church and union leaders.

The Martyrs Hymn, "God is our guide" is always sung with great gusto!

All are welcome regardless of faith or denomination.

This service takes place each year at the end of the TUC's festival weekend, to mark the Christian witness of the Tolpuddle Martyrs. A guest speaker is invited each year to reflect on issues of the present day that relate those of the Martyrs.

The service can be very busy, so you are advised to come early if you would like a seat.

The chapel is open all weekend for quiet reflection, and to help people understand what motivated the Martyrs to take their stand. Guides are available to explain more about the Methodist heritage of challenging injustice.
